As part of our Colab Carbon Product line, there are vehicle specific applications that we have developed to solve various problems that are commonly found in your engine bay. One of the most common short cuts we see is a properly mounted pressure sensor.
When it comes to the R35 Nissan GT-R, it requires 2 pre throttle boost pressure sensors to be fitted to the intercooler piping for the ECU to function as intended. It is always best practice to remote mount your pressure sensors from the engine to limit the heat and vibration that is created to prolong the life of the sensor and provide a more stable reading to the ECU.
While it is common to just use an Adel style clamp, it is not the most asteticly pleasing solution and when you are doing a high end build it almost cheapens the look of the engine bay

What is Colab Carbon?
The Colab Garage carbon composite parts line leverages state of the art materials and machinery, which we believe is the future of additive manufacturing within the motorsports industry. Everything is designed and manufactured in house which allows us to move quickly from concept to reality in a matter of days. Whereas more traditional manufacturing techniques that would take much longer and would not allow for more in depth designs and limited production runs.
Colab Carbon material is a nylon based chopped carbon that has been stress tested to sustained 325°F and extremely chemical resistant to engine oil, fuels, brake cleaner, and even acetone! We then take it a step further by adding continuous carbon fiber strands to various areas of the part that requires added strength. When designed properly the end result is a part that rivals T6 aluminum in terms of strength and durability.
